disabling auto-capitalization in templates

Post by trythil » Thu Apr 15, 2004 4:16 pm

Would it be possible to disable auto-capitalization in the page templates on, say, the member profile and related pages?

The titles of two of my videos, for example, are "always" and "...and forever [dreaming]", not "Always" and "...and Forever [dreaming]", and it looks somewhat ridiculous.

Additional problems this causes:

The title of the song used in "...and forever [dreaming]" is publicly listed as "fiction", not "Fiction". TaQ's beatmania IIDX track is also publicly listed in just about every BeMaNi game as "era", not "Era".

This can be changed through the CSS file. So just create yourself a custom skin.

It doesn't just bug me, though -- I'm guessing there's a reason why people like TaQ and Yuki Kajiura decided to use lowercase letters, and it seems appropriate to reproduce the titles of their work as it is commonly seen.

Point. I guess Phade should change it on his default skin then.

Yeah. It's called being pretentious.

(I kid. Kind of.)
