Hmm... nope.Lyrs wrote:religion actually might work!

But uhh, this better not turn into a religion thread.
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

Hurm...
It might just be a good idea to turn this into a "sticky" thread to remind the egotistical of Phade's generosity. Yes, the two-week wait's annoying, I suppose, but it does keep out the riff-raff, by which I mean not only the "Hey, I made a video" newbie, but also the videos themselves... Good AMVs will spread via the P2P networks and the people who have enough determination to get a private means of distribution, while bad ones will either languish in the in 1-or-2 star ratings list or not be downloaded at all. If Phade does ever come up short for space, however, I would definitely recommend trimming the rolls of a spate of the lowest-rated videos from time to time.
On the tangent subjects, I'd say what this site most resembles is a corporate monarchy, which means that Phade is as powerful as a C.E.O: he can do whatever he likes with his company, but only within the limits of what the free market allows. In return for a modest contribution (I'm broke, so all I have to offer are my AMVs themselves) he lets us roam this site free from pop-ups and obscene banner ads. Is that such a lousy deal? It would take a measure of dedication to the whole genre even to be interested in these AMVs in the first place. I think two weeks patience and the odd request for charity is a paltry demand in return for such excellent service.

aura20: YOU *chose* to join this site. A site owned by someone else. A site which is generously maintained by someone else's free time and through donations.aura20 wrote:FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLZ PHADE OR W/E UR NAME IS PLZ TAKE AWAY THE TWO WEEK WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keyword is *YOU* and *chose*...you either accept the rules or get the fuck out. I wish it were the latter.
