A change in the way the description of a vid is processed ?

The description of one of my video contained the following :

best drama [...] <--thanks everyone

today I've had to remove the "<--" because it was considered as an html comment, therefore the rest of my description didn't appear anymore in the video description...

Did something change recently in the way a description is processed ?

In case you haven't noticed, the following tags are allowed in video descriptions now:

a, i, u, b, em, strong, strike

It's about time...
