Someone needs to make a zip file of all the codecs that they can find on the net. Even though that there are new codecs invented all the time, there should be some master file for us Org users. Then someone can update it with new codecs every couple months or so.

Org access to codec's is a good diea, however instead of a zip file, after all, you don't need to have every codec available, you just need teh few that you use.
so, hosting singular codecs would be the better idea, however, links to the respective codecs would be even better, since it doesn't use as much of teh Org's bandwith.
