How do post an image without it having it's own URL? Like, just pasting an image....how?

You dont.
If there is no url to the image, then there is nothing to post.

ok i know that now, and i got the image in my profile, but on my computer it shows up with that 'X' thingy. It always does this on every message board i go to. WHY!?!?!?

geocities doesn't like it when you inline-direct-link images from them to other places. Rumor has it if you change the file extension to something that is not an image (ie .txt), web browsers will still display the image correctly, and you can get it past geocities protections.

But, I've found that it doesn't work 100% of the time. That's the nature of geocities though.

Anyhow, that picture is too big.
