I've noticed quite a few people have a little trouble posting in AMV Announcements. They tend to announce videos they haven't entered in the database or ask for opinions and tend to not leave the links to their videos. (Granted that the latter problem is a matter of preference and as long as they are descriptive enough it's not too hard to search the databse for the particular video.) Also every now and then there's a post where they announce a video that hasn't been made yet.
Anyway, I was thinking of a sticky post like this:
Subject: How to announce your Music Videos
Before posting make sure your video is complete and that you have as complete a description of your video as possible. Make sure your video can be downloaded yourself. If you have special or unique methods of video distribution such as P2P, streamload, or instant messenger, include that in the video's description. If using kazaa post the music video's file name exactly as it appears in your folder.
When announcing your videos provide a link to where other people can download your video(s). Preferrably to the particular Video Information page on the AnimeMusicVideos.Org database. Or provide a direct link to the video file and write a short video description in your post. *
If you want other people's opinions on your video(s) provide a link to the particular Video Information page on the AnimeMusicVideos.Org database if you want the opinion to be entered on AnimeMusicVideos.Org. Or state another way of getting opinions to you. If you want the opinions to be entered in another site, provide links to that particular site. If you wish to receive opinions via email, leave your email address in the post.
