Activation email doesn't send

my brother is trying to make an account and the activation email doesn't send. I even tried to register and it didn't work for me either.

I've tried resending it, and of course I've checked my junk/spam folders.

Myself and some others haven't been able to receive any e-mails from this site since they moved the server, (and no, not being put into my spam folder either). So far, nothing as been done (as far as I know) since getting emails about topic replies and private messages aren't really necessary, but affecting activation emails is a pretty big deal, hopefully this will move it up in priorities. D:

According to the member list there have been over 60 accounts created today alone, so i'm pretty sure it isn't a "no email is going out at all" issue.

Do new accounts only show up after they've been activated?

Most forum software won't create the account until it's activated, but with the tie-in to the actual site it could just be queuing up names to reserve them. The email issue started some months ago, so if it was tied to this there'd be thousands of unactivated accounts that would have been able to raise notice by now. Occam's razor?

Well, the email issue doesn't seem to be affecting everyone (or else we'd have more people flooding the thread about it). I don't know for sure if the two are really related, but if there's a possibility that it could be, I think it warrants looking into.
