Confirming an anime?

Hello, I recently added an anime to the list (mainly because I entered video information using it XD) and would like it confirmed so I can upload the video. The anime is xxxHolic Rou (OVA). Thank you very much. ^^

Confirmed. Sorry for making you wait so long. There's a discussion going about the definition of anime for the site, and later on there will be one about other cataloging standards as well, so for the time being confirmations have been put somewhat "on hold" unless requested by users because of uploading need. All input is appreciated as long as there is a valid motivation behind it.

Indeed.. Actually, I should of mentioned that in the thread, right now we will confirm only if asked to.. Once we make any updates to the definition, we'll be going through and cleaning things up - Updated this on the thread

I'll probably add my thoughts later, once I give it a really good read. ^^

However, instead of making another thread, I have a request for another confirmation, although I got confused from another instance. Back on the 11th, I entered a new entry - a manga called Akuma to Love Song - and at that time I was still allowed to enter my video (my video also had a several other anime and manga in it as well, if that helps). However, today when I go to enter another video using that same manga, it's not allowing me to do so, leaving me to believe that it's not confirmed. So I would like it if this manga could be confirmed so I may upload my video (also if someone could try to and explain to me how I was able to upload my previous video without a problem but this one I can't despite using the same, unconfirmed manga, that would be nice just to unconfuse my brain XD).

The other video used other sources along the manga, some of which were already confirmed, so that's why it allowed you. As "only" 50%+ of the video needs to have anime in it for it to be considered an AMV, non-anime sources are allowed and shouldn't stop someone from uploading if anime sources are used as well, hence why unconfirmed anime along with confirmed anime isn't an issue for uploading purposes.

Either way, confirmed as anime (mangas count as anime for catalog purposes for the time being, and very likely still will) with the title "Devil and Lovesongs, The (manga)". It might have to get renamed once the naming convention poll ends, though.

Aha, that may explain it since I wasn't looking for that (most people that know of that series don't refer it as Devil and Lovesongs - it's either Akuma to Love Song or Devil and Her Love Song so I never even thought of looking for that XD). And that also explains my other video - thank you. Less confused before going to bed. XD

Oh, no, I just changed the title when confirming. I used what ANN reported as main title for the time being, since we are still debating how to decide which titles should be main, whether the Japanese or English one ─ refer to the related poll (it's another discussion aside from the "what constitutes anime" one).

Aha, gotcha. Thank you for clarifying - I'll give that a look over (and definitely got to give a look over at ANN's Encyclopedia on that one and send in a report to get that fixed as well XD).
