Audio Issue when trying to upload video

Post by Sage » Tue Jul 06, 2010 9:13 pm

I have searched the forums in trying to resolve my issue however I have not been successful.

Everything works fine until it comes time for me to download the sample. Once the sample is downloaded the video is fine, yet the audio comes in as static. I would greatly appreciate any help with this issue so that I may be able to upload a successful file.

I apologize if a solution to this problem is already available, I must not of searched enough if that is the case =\

Just gotta make sure first, you're sure the audio isn't messed up before you upload, right?

If you would, please take us through your process from rendering/exporting your amv to when you upload it.

I render using Huffyuv v2.1.1 then encode using TMPGEnc, once that is done, I use Virtual Dub Mod and compress using "Normal Compression" using the DivX 6.9.2 Codec (4 Logical CPUs) one.
After that I upload it, and then once it comes time to download the sample I have issues with the audio with it making static. Even though the file works fine itself before its uploaded. Something happening during the upload process?

Don't use virtualdubmod but plain virtualdub. Get the latest here. Also, don't encode to mpg and re-encode. That's going to sensibly hurt the quality of the encode for no reason. I assume that actually is why you're getting the static issue. Also, don't use normal recompress, but fast recompress.
Although, any reason as to why you're encoding to divx+mp3 into avi instead of doing a x264+aac into mp4 with zargui? Lower filesize and higher quality should dictate x264+aac as an obviously better choice of distro.

No reason in particular. I just only started working with these programs, so for the most part it's all new to me =\ Learning as I go doing little research has its cons it seems =P I'll try it that way.

Alright, i'm stuck currently. When I go to encode with zarx264gui i first get "Bepipe.exe has stopped working" Then I click to close, and the encode continues, yet once it gets to about 99% it gives another error saying "zarx264gui has stopped working" and it closes out. I tried researching it and found a method that actually got a 100% and a .mp4 however the audio did not work. Sorry to be a bother but I tried to solve it myself by doing a little more research =\ Any further help would be greatly appreciated.

Uhm... I'd suggest encoding the audio by itself with another program, and then before clicking encode, just select that audio as input. That way, zarxgui will only mux it and deal only with the video as far as encoding is concerned, so that might fix your problem.
