It's in your profile, A check box that says you want to opt-in to previews in general. It'll delete them all (and not allow you to look at other people's previews too).
That is a different option/feature with potential downsides if they do want to watch previews or make their (future) videos available. I've already deleted the preview for the video that is having encode issues.
