Some browsers can't handle the size of the studio list. It really does need reworking. :( It currently spits out about 14000 studio names. I should be able to drop that number to 11000 or so but I can't really call that much of an improvement...

I use firefox exclusively on all my computers and on some that aren't.

also to whomever was responcible thanx for the redirect and moving the thread to the proper place.

Also I did go back and try it again and it still isn't working... still locks up my browser...

Hmm, I've never had a problem with firefox on that page. Are you running vanilla firefox (no extensions) or the latest version (currently 3.0.10 or 3.5 beta)?

I've changed the page so only the 11000 studios currently used by users are returned. The drop down list should also now automatically select your studio name when the page loads instead of defaulting to "none".

If this doesn't fix your problem then I'm afraid this isn't going to be a quick fix..

ATM I am running an older version of firefox because I refuse to lose my unplug plugin and at the time FF3.0 was released it wouldn't work with it. I don't know if unplug works with the latest firefox yet so I havent bothered to upgrade but I know this version has had no problems in the past I don't know what's going on now to cause this... I just tried it again and this time it locked up before it even tried to load the new page. it hung on step0. I could try to upgrade the browser but I am hesitant because I don't want it to screw up my work connection and login... and also try as I may I always somehow end up losing all my bookmarks when I upgrade... thus again I am hesitant to do so... this version of FF has worked in the past I don't see why it shouldn't now.

Unplug works with even the 3.5 beta versions of firefox now. You can always check compatability on the addon's webpage.

Also, I've never lost my bookmarks, cookies, and saved passwords in a firefox upgrade... You aren't uninstalling first are you? You should just run the installer and it should maintain your info.

If step0 is giving you problems then I have no idea why you are having problems. I'd say it is the software on your computer, but you are the only one in the position of troubleshooting that.

If you are fearful of losing bookmarks and such, just backup you firefox data before upgrading.
