Supremely dumbass question for an admin...

First of all, I registered a long time ago, never really had a reason to post in the forums before, but… here I am now. Better late than never right?

So… howdy folks!

Formalities out of the way, my reason for posting is simply… my having trouble uploading my AMV to the org.

I know, I know…. there are a dozen FAQs and “How to…” guides on the subject, and I’ve read all of ‘em.

Thing is, even though I submitted all my AMV information, and it’s now all up on the site… once I go into the main upload video section, there’s no “pulldown list” present for me to click my AMV and get the necessary FTP passwords and such. I looked over all the reasons listed in the upload section as to why this could be and I noticed the following;

The video lists no anime source. Anime sources have to be confirmed by the admins so if you entered a new anime then you may want to ask on the forum if it can be confirmed for you.

Well that basically answered my question; the anime source for my AMV was a new anime I had to enter, and evidently for it to “count” and allow my video to appear in the necessary pulldown list so that I may be given an FTP password and so forth, the anime has to be “confirmed” by an admin, which apparently is something I can only get to happen by requesting it on the forums… which is the point of this post.

So, any admins who might be reading this, the anime I submitted was “Ossu!! Karate Bu” (as per AnimeNfo’s spelling). I hereby formally request that whatever you folks have to do to “conform” the title so that I can actually obtain my FTP info to upload the video… by all means please do so.

I’m terribly sorry if there’s a designated thread for this sort of thing to be requested in, but I looked for one and didn’t notice anything like that. As this is the first time I’ve ever uploaded an AMV to this site, if I inadvertently broke some forum taboo by making my own thread for this request, please show a little compassion to someone who did indeed actually read all the FAQs and made an honest attempt at doing all this crap by himself without having to come crawling to the forums to pester people for help like a total rube (the way I’m doing now).

As the author of one of those FAQs, I really really appreciate the fact you tried. There's way to much of that, and we genuinely want to help people like you that need something extra but went through the effort to try first
