Also, hosting non-anime videos would open up the floodgates for this site to become another potential you tube where people upload anything they want. Record a video of your cat and slap a linkin park song on it, and there you go. It would lose much of what makes this site what it is, I think.

And additionally, I think that holders of the copyrights of non-anime videos would be much more likely to start putting pressure on us, while the anime companies generally accept what we do as being non-threatening.

Just think about all the work it would bring. Controlling all the new users to obey the rules for uploading. Nah.

Stick with sites like stage6.com they´re much more friendly on musicvideos as the tube.
You can find me on YT under "Bauzi514". Subscribe to never miss my AMV releases. :amv:

.. there are many sights where you can upload "home made" AMV's .. as long as you understand that if they score less than 25 out of the 60 points needed for being "original animations" that they will be erased and anything outside of "Home Made" ban's you for life and gets your AMV erased at the Servers Discretion. Most of those sites have a one year limit on viewing if .. if they scored 60 or more points. The pointing system is rated by the MOD's.

.. there are openings on the internet for your server to handle non-anime AMV's -- go for it 8-) . . that way you control what is and is not acceptable . . and that way you'll be blocked by search engines for content deemed inappropriate for viewing -- or not!

.. Standards .. Morality .. Honor .. if these have no meaning to you then open your own server; we'll be glad to joint your boards 8-)
