- Posts discussing the use of illegal substances are not allowed.
- Posts intended to cause controversy will be removed.
- You should only have one user account.
- Don't try to impersonate other members or content creators.
- Don't put false information into the video catalog.
- Only one catalog entry per video is allowed.
- Only catalog videos that you created.
WHAT YOU MAY UPLOAD
You may only upload music videos that entirely or mostly consist of:
- Japanese Animation: As in animation produced in Japan generally for a Japanese market. NOT western animation that looks-kinda-like-anime.
- Japanese Videogame Cutscenes. Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and the like.
- Anime-inspired stills or animation created by you. However, we reserve the right to declare any 'original animation' entry as unsuitable for the site if it is not in the spirit of anime music videos or the AMV community.
Uploading content on this list may result in you being banned.
- Uncompressed or uncommonly playable/ formatted files.
- Non-video files
- Non-anime and Live-action videos
- Videos that violate the A-M-V.org Code of Ethics
- Pornographic videos. Videos explicitly depicting sexual acts are forbidden. Nudity is permitted provided it either has an artistic function in the video or is not depicted in an overtly erotic context.
- Overly excessive graphic violence. Examples include seeing innards, dismemberment, and decapitation. If you think a video is borderline, contact an admin and get it cleared before uploading.
- Video files larger than the file upload limit. 150Mb for Standard members, and 300Mb for donators who have donated $12 or more in the past 365 days. In the case of exceptionally long videos and MEPS, special permission to upload larger files may be requested.
- Works In Progress. The hosting here is not for beta versions of videos. Final versions of videos only, please.
- AMVs you did not create. Please do not upload other people's AMVs.
- Chat is in English only
- Posts should follow the A-M-V.org Code of Ethics
- Do not post links for pirated files, software, or key generators, nor ask or offer means to obtain them. You may be banned without warning for such posts.
- The maximum dimension of forum signatures should be no greater than 700x120 pixels high or six lines of normal-sized text. The total file size of images in your signature should not exceed 300KB. Signatures that go beyond these limits may be removed or altered without warning.
- The maximum dimension of forum avatars should not be greater than 150x50 pixels wide, no larger than 24kb in file size if hosted locally, and no more than 40kb in size if hosted off-site. Any avatar image that goes beyond these limits will be removed without warning.
- If someone posts to the wrong forum, makes a duplicate thread, or overlooks a sticky, try to answer their question or direct them to a suitable topic/ forum. A forum moderator will (most likely) move the thread soon.
- Unsolicited posts are not allowed. Off-topic self-promotional or advertising posts will be removed and the user banned.
