SQ wrote:Was going through things and I found DVDs some AMVers used to hand out at cons to distribute their stuff. I have the original DVDs and cases for:
retro video game project 2004 (which also has a lot of bonus material)
nintendo project 2003 (has the MEP + A documentary for making the MEP)
studio gaijin 2001 - 2004
studio gaijin 2001 - 2005
dennou emaki (Japanese MAD DVD distributed at one of MeriC & VegettoEX's panels at AWA, if I remember correctly)
absolutedestiny 2001 - 2003

The following were collected from cons, but are just burned discs with sharpie labels instead of nice distros like the above:
AMV Hell Perfect Collection (not sure of year.)
MeriC & VegettoEX 2000 - 2004 (has a black & white CD cover label)
"RDS" (If I remember correctly, random destination studios. Not sure of year)
Vicbond007 productions AWA X CD (AWA X was 2004). CD has a printed label on it, but no case label)
GeneStarwind21122's AMVs 2005 - 2006
NHMK 2005
NHMK 2004
thefinalact.net AWA X , 9/21/2004. 23/45.
Destination Skyline (not sure of year)

Could you see any use for these or pictures of these?

I also have a random sticker someone had printed: "Globocide"

Also... Wow. I had no idea GodIX was dead. =[

How on earth did you make it out with those and none of mine? I think at one point Fluxy and ours were a packaged bundle!

@Wonka

Well if I remember correctly, I really only met you one time, and it probably was while drinking or something, so not good "getting media discs" time. LOL.

I don't remember exactly how I acquired most of these, I think it was just random handouts after panels for most of them. Something special happened for the Japanese one, but I can't remember what.

Now, what is lost that I'm REALLY PISSED ABOUT, is that in 2002... I think... (or possibly 2003), I made a "Meet the AMVers" video, where I went around at the AWA Thursday Dinner with a camera and asked "Who are you and why should we care". It wasn't a paragon of editing or anything, but I really liked it anyway. I lost all my copies and it seems lost in the abyss now.
Would've loved to give it to this project.

edit:
On this note, I made 2 such AMVer videos. Here's links for the second one (that don't work). But apparently Jaddziadax was mirroring them for me so I wonder if they might have copies of these?

I have some footage from the second DDR project premiere at AWA 2002. But I think I gave Vlad a copy as well. I also have the documentary from the first DDR project, but again, I got that from Vlad. I also have footage from the AMV contest at AWA 8 in main events, but I don't remember offhand if I was just filming the audience in order to provide reaction shots for editors (which I never then shared), or if I also filmed the presentation as well.

I also have a number of discs from editors, but I would need to find them again before I could give a list.

Ooh, a documentary! Can't wait to see this! I can check through my old DVDs to see if I have anything interesting, but I believe I mostly have the same ones SQ has.

Found the following:

Hitori Studios DVD (unsure of year)
MindWarp Entertainment DVD (includes music videos, commentary, interviews, and other things)
Random Destination Studios 2005 (might be the same one SQ had)
Kaicho DVD (videos by a MAD creator who came to awa)
Meri and VegettoEX volume 2 (2004-2005)

The DennouEmaki DVD was actually brought over by Pianos and Kaicho, MAD creators who came to AWA.

Thanks for taking a look! That is awesome. I'll send you a PM with what we would like to capture.
