If there are videos that you'd like to nominate, you can use these topics post links to catalog entries (using the Video ID) in your posts. If you'd like to nominate a video that hasn't been entered into the site, you can still embed a youtube link of it, and ask the creator to catalog the video into our database. As long as the catalog entry uses its correct 2016 premiere date, and is entered before February 12, it will be allowed to compete in the 2017 VCAs.

Best Multi-Editor Project

Post by Kireblue » Thu Jan 12, 2017 1:50 pm

In a multi-editor project (MEP), editors divide and edit distinct ''tracks'', which are then joined by transitions and compiled into one AMV. A MEP generally has a theme that features a specific artist, genre, or style of editing. Examples of this are AyuMix and AMV Hell (NOTE: there is a separate category for Best Collaborative Video, which is a video to one singular, continuous song track made by more than one editor.)
Note: In previous years, the distinctions between MEPs and collabs were vague and caused a lot of confusion. From now on, a collab will be defined as any video consisting of 2-3 editors. A MEP will be defined as any video consisting of 4 or more editors.

Note: If there are videos that you'd like to nominate for this category, you can use this thread to post links to their catalog entries (using the Video ID) in your post.
