Vegas help

Hi everyone!

I've been working on a amv for 2 days now, and I just have some questions, since im new to vegas, i was wondering when i get to render the amv, what would the best settings be? and what format? .avi? .wmv etc..

and how can can i compress the file size later?
thnx for any help in advance ^^

You'll want to export a lossless .AVI; see <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... l">here</a> for a good guide on doing so in Vegas.

You can use a program like VirtualDubMod to compress your video with a distribution codec such as XviD; instructions on how to do that start <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... l">here</a>. Oh, and don't forget to <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... ">compress your audio</a>.

Say, when was the last time anyone suggested making an MPEG-1 with TMPGEnc?...

Haha...the last two videos I've made have been compressed into MPEG-1 files with TMPGEnc. But that's just because I didn't feel like messing up my XviD compression and having to do it all over again...I'm such a slacker.
