What you want to do is use the motion control to change the position of the image on-screen to random values through random (but small) intervals of time. For example, it shifts five frames up and two left for five frames, then three frames later it goes down six frames and right four.

I'm not familiar enough with Vegas to tell you where the motion controls are, but they exist and you probably know already. If you don't, they shouldn't be really hard to find.

Use the pan/crop editor and move the screen slightly every couple frames. If you need me to elaborate, I can do so.

only had to use shakey frames once. tried to do it with motion in premiere, but it looked like crap.
so i went to school and made the clip i needed in imovie, which has the earthquake effect. exported the dv to my jump drive, took it home, and added it into the video.

i cant say i am very comfortable with pan/crop but ive played around with it and it doesnt seem too hard. but yeah .. it'd be awesome if you could elaborate, because i cant figure out how to work with frames a lot.
honestly.. the only thing i've done with pan crop so far is
1)zooming in on a clip
2)change the aspect ratio.
thats basically all the experience i have with pan/crop. but there is one link i will go through tonight that someone suggested here on this thread... i'll let u know if i need more help!
thankx everyone!
