hello. ok so I have finished my video . w00t!! but the problem is that when installed AMVapp it did something (I'm guessing) to my program and now it says that the media is offline. now I don't know if the footage got deleted in the process of me exporting it, or if it was lost or something. So I redownloaded it, and now I try to re-import it and it says unsupported compression in file. the file is in .avi format and it's the same thing that I was editing and creating the music video with before hand. Now, if someone can tell me what to do I'd be happ and I uninstalled AMVapp so I don't know what's going on. please any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you!@!!!! IM on SilverWIngs0789 or PM me. or post it here.

It sounds like you were using Divx/Xvid files directly in Premiere. I think AMVapp's installation of ffdshow is the culprit. ffdshow usuallly takes over decoding of Divx files upon installation and that may have mucked up your project. I doubt that your source files were affected, if you checked the folder where you saved the footage it should have been there still. Most likely the file associations were changed.
If you are using Windows XP, try to use the System Restore function to roll your machine back to before you installed the AMVapp. OR, try to reinstall the codec that your source files used to use.

I'm assuming the MPEG4 (AAC?) audio files are in your source footage. I'm not sure if installing a MPEG4 audio decoder/player will solve your problem, but it's worth a shot. Some examples are iTunes/Quicktime, VLC, 3ivx, etc.
Other than that, you can demux your footage if you aren't using audio from your sources and separate the video from the audio. You may need to re-import and/or rename the files for it to work - do this at your own risk, I've only used files without audio for footage so I've never had this issue. And you may want to backup your original files on another part of your harddrive or on a cd first before doing this.

Well I have fixed that problem but now when I try to export it it says my video is like 2:34:50 when it's only 3:52. And also it won't export the video. ShouldI delete AMVapp off the computer and it will work then? AIM me on Silverwings0789 to let me know.Willen wrote:It sounds like you were using Divx/Xvid files directly in Premiere.
