How about hitting Ctrl+M, does that pop up the "Save Movie" dialog with the right options under "Other..."? It should...

Nope. I still have the same options as before, and it doesn't give me the option to choose where I want to save to, unfortunately. *head scratch* Rather baffling. Is it possible that I might have a later version of the software?

I have WinME and unfortunately, the bastard child that is WMM 1.0 has only those few options available. The other options to save as DV-AVI etc, are only available in WMM 2.0 and 2.1 (and maybe 1.1) which is only available with WinXP. My one and only (although not available anywhere for viewing :P) AMV was made with a WinXP machine that I no longer have. There are some problems with the video that I would have liked to correct but, when I opened up WMM for WinME and discovered it was even crappier than WMM 2.1 I gave up. Even ArcSoft Showbiz which came free with my DVD burner was better (but not much).

If it's not too late, and if you have the money (~$500), I highly suggest using some real editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas, or Avid Liquid or Xpress.

If you are cheap (<$100), then I suggest: Magix Movie Edit Pro, Pinnacle Studio, Vegas Movie Studio or Adobe Premiere Elements.

If you are poor then some other software that you might already have are: Roxio VideoWave (included with Roxio Easy Media Creator) or Ahead NeroVision Express (included with Nero).

Links to products are located in this post: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... hp?t=61207 (thanks TaranT!).

Worst case scenario: you only have WMM1.0 to use and no time to redo with another program, try saving as "Video for broadband NTSC (768 Kbps)" and then converting your video to MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 with TMPGEnc (with or without AviSynth) (guides here: http://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?for ... 20to%20DVD)

That explains it. My version is 1.1; I didn't realize there was a 1.0.

Ah! Thank you all so much. I'll try to save up up for a better video editing system, and if I miss the Sakuracon contest, there's always Kumoricon. :D
