Adobe Premiere 5.1 LE on XP
Hey all, just made the upgrade to Windows XP but now Adobe Premiere no longer works. When I try to open it it says it cannot find file "PwiCtl2e.dll" I still have my old hard drive with 98 on it and Adobe Premiere works just fine there. Anybody know what the problem is? Can it be fixed or do I need to upgrade to a newer version of AP?

Windows XP doesn't work very well with premiere
I believe this is why they devoloped premiere pro...
you might be able to run it with XP if you run the compatibility wizard.
another option is to search for the .dll file that is "missing" and then making a shortcut to it on your desktop (that way you can just put in the shortcut when it asks you to browse for the file)

Just checked, it's 5.1 not 5.1 LE (though I doubt that makes too much of a difference).
But from what I understand I should upgrade to AT LEAST 6.0.
I don't need all the bells and whistles of Pro, I just like to use straightforward editing and 5.1 has always served that purpose just fine. So it sounds like I'll be fine if I just go up to 6.0 and work in XP?
