A plea from a man who has lost hope

Post by ForeverZeroo » Sat Nov 12, 2005 7:58 pm

I have had every problem in the world with changing video editers. I dont know how to work adobe very well. But i'll learn in time.

Right now i just want to get one step out of the way.

I need video to be in the right codec.

It seems EVERY video i have is incoded wrong or is the wrong file type.

people keep talking about HUVsyth or whatever. And i downloaded it...but i cant even instail it! I swear i'm not THAT bad with computers...

Right now I have a plea:

I really wanna get back into making music videos but the techy crap is holding me back. Can someone....anyone...help me on AIM or something to understand AT LEST the codec programs...so i can START to learn adobe. I'm horrible at computers and i have a learning disablility, so reading FAQs and such really dont help me. I work better when i get one on one questions and answers.

PLEASE. I've been trying to get back in AMVs since augest and the tech stuff is holding me back. If you help and I get a video going i will creidt you.

Thank you for at lest reading.

I think your problem is that your video is encoded with divx or xvid, and adobe (in fact, most editing problems) hates these codecs

to help you I need to know where you got your footage (DVD, VHS or downloaded), what programs you are using (to make the footage useable) and what codecs you use (like divx, Xvid and huffyuv)

and I don't have AIM, but given enough information people should be able to help you

Thanks for at lest answering my thread

(i also have MSN or yahoo if that works)

Well I mostly download...i do have DVDs which i'll rip at a later time, but that is besides the point

So yes. I download my clips. And so far...i dont use anything to change the codecs or make them useable.

The only thing i can tell you is:
I download off torrents.
I wanna use Premeire Pro and maybe After Effects
i'm not sure what codecs I use....i think i downloaded a codec pack once called "K-lite" or something.

Besides that....thats really all i know. I dont even know how to use huffyuv, but i was told i need it for a loseless codec convertion
