Trouble with saving AMV with Windows Movie Maker

Post by mercurish » Thu Aug 18, 2005 8:22 am

I apologize if there is such a thread already. I could not find one.

My problem is that I can't save my AMV after I edited the clip in WMM. I was so desperate that I checked out all options for saving the video but only two types of saving worked. When I watched the result in a player, such as VLC, it was all black or grey and the music was real bad quality.

Of course WMM told me that there's a problem with the clip sources or the folder where the AMV should be saved to. But there is no problem, I'm sure. I checked all clips whether the source is correct. And the folder is also OK.

I'd be very glad if anyone could help.
Thanks in advance!

Err thanks for the link but when I saved it as .avi it was 700 MB big. And when I save for Pocket PC it's black/grey.

That 700 MB output for the DV-AVI is ok. It's only the first step to get a high quality vid. Some additional steps are necessary. Read this chapter to the end, and some of the following.

I see you're from Germany too. If you don't understand some parts of the guide because it's in English, PM me.
