PIC VIDEO

Post by §Daisuke » Sat Jul 30, 2005 7:27 pm

Okay I've read A&E's Technical Guides to All Things Audio and Video mk 2 and they suggest using PICVideo MJPEG Codec when Compressing the video at the start of Premiere Pro. I have PICVideo Lossless JPEG Codec. Is it the same thing because when i tried downloading the Codec from http://www.pegasusimaging.com. That's what I got.

So is there a difference or does it not matter?

I would also like to know how to get to the Preferances screen in Premiere Pro.

It's the last image on the page.
Thank you very much in advanced.

You need the first codec in the list. Lossless JPEG will be very slow, so I wouldn't recommend it, the beauty of MJPEG is that it's not lossless (in fact it's quite ugly) but very fast and frame accurate.

The Preferences screen is under Edit>Preferences>General...
