ffdshow help

ok after i installed ffdshow ive received several icons on the bottom right of my tool bar. then when i try watching a vid of any kind my media player crashes all the time. also does ffdshow play a real purpose. im not really sure on what it does, but its been nothing but trouble for me.

You can disable the icon in the ffdshow settings.

This happens to Lone Wolf's computer too, whenever I was over his dorm. What version of ffdshow are you running?

it is ffdshow-20050112. i got it from the amvapp pack.

Try this version. Get the ffdshow-alpha.

That's an older version which isn't as feature-filled.

The problem with the amvapp at the moment is that I'm waiting for a better new build to be made so I can replace the one in the amvapp (which seems to have issues, particularly with some processors).
