Adobe Premiere-Application error

Post by leonon » Wed Apr 20, 2005 6:50 am

I have Googled this and run a forum search on several forums, but I have not found a fix. Whenever I run Adobe Premiere Pro version 7.0.0.0 I get the following message twice (after running it once).

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application."

Premiere use to work fine, unfortunately, I recently changed several things and didn't keep a log of all changes (stupid of me, I know). I've tried uninstall and reinstall already, didn't work,

Computer stats(found via AC Tool)
CPU: AMD K7 - 2166 Mhz (Athlon XP 3000+)
Memory: 1023 MB
OS: Windows XP Pro SP2 (5.1.2600)
Video : Nvidia GeForce FX 5600 Ultra (Omega 1.6693) (Q) (1280x1024 - 32 bit)

I've tried it using the Geforce drivers Version: 71.89 before changing to Omega drivers, they didn't work either.

I also get the same problem (exactly the same) when attempting to run the Dungeon Keeper 2 CD's Auto Run, incase someone happens to know how to fix that.

lol this happened to my...

1. Uninstall Premiere Pro
2. Uninstall All Codecs
3. Install AMVapp.

That should fix your problem.

Uninstall Audio Codecs in addition to Video Codecs?

Does there happen to be a program that checks my computer and tells me all the Codecs I've installed (in case I forget one while uninstalling)?

Most programs/codecs you spicifically installed will be in the add remove programs list in the control panel.

Seems to of worked (for both .exe's).

Thank you §Daisuke, for saving my Premiere's life, and BasharOfTheAges, for telling me where to uninstall from.
