Web Plugin for Premiere

Post by hackerzc » Wed Oct 09, 2002 12:42 am

Yeah, I'm trying to get my hands on the Web export plugin for premiere that allows it to export as WMV. Right now my version does not have it for reasons I would not like to discuss. Having this thing would same me the extra step of exporting as AVI and then converting using Windows Media Encoder.

Not really. Everyone hates WMVs. It screams low kwality.

Read one of the guides here or check out doom9.org. DivX & MPEG are used more often then WMV and are more respectable.

plus, even the newest version of wmv codecs still suck in comparison to divx. I had the beta 9 codec and did some encoding with what it calls "DVD" settings and was not impressed. Even using better settings than why i use for divx resulted in crappier looking footage with higher file sizes than the normal divx encodes. WMV just sucks.
