Problem Adobe Premiere

Adobe premiere always give's me an error, Unsupported compression in file, does anyone know how i can workaround that (or a plugin or something)

What codec do the files use? If it's an MPEG-4 codec like DivX or XviD, either convert the clips you need to HuffYUV or serve the files with AVISynth scripts. Premiere and DivX/XviD don't get along.

but is there a program that does get along with divx/xvid ?

I believe that Vegas will :?: But codecs such as divx and xvid are just not the best to edit with.
