Gordian Knot Rip Pack

Post by GreenT » Wed Dec 29, 2004 6:32 pm

Hey, I recently got the Gordian Knot Rip Pack, and decrypted my anime and stuff. After I did a test encode and saved it as an .avi, the aspect ratio was 20:11. Did I do something wrong?

How did you go about creating the .avi file. DVDDecrypter 3.2.3.0 should rip the DVD for you. Then DGMPGDec 1.0.12 should be used to index the .vob files and produce a .d2v file as well as an .avs file (the .avs file is created automatically). You can use VirtualDubMod CVS 1.5.10.1/2439 to access the .avs file and add filtering. Your .avi file should be created by VirtualDubMod.

The program versions are from the Gordian Knot Rip Pack 0.33.1

Try leaving the frame size as 720x480 instead of performing a 640x352 resize.

I tried resizing it to that, but the footage would go really slow after I compressed it with Huffy.

What, were you trying to watch it?

HuffYUV isn't for watching. It's for editing and lossless storage.

Works fine for me when I watch things in HuffYUV.

Perhaps, but on many systems this isn't the case.

I think the only problem about it was that the original aspect ratio was 16:9, and I never bothered to turn it into 4:3. Think that could've been the problem?
