Don't save an avi out of dvd2avi.
Read the guides.

sry for all the posts at once
i couldent find theese
DGMPEGDec - commonly considered the most stable version of what was once DVD2AVI
DGDecode.dll - an avisynth plugin that interprets dvd2avi project files. Included with DGMpegDec

i clicked on the links and they were nowhere to be found

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... mvapp.html

it contains dgmpegdec and dgdecode.dll

note that the .d2vs you created with dvd2avi won't work, so you'll need to recreate them in dgindex. also, what version of huffyuv are you encoding with? 2.1.1 is the latest version that doesn't mess up. 2.2.0 is apparently glitchy.
to conserve hard drive space, only convert the scenes you know you want to use in your video to huffyuv.
