If you're on Windows XP, you should already have Windows Movie Maker.

That's a good program to start out with.

Also, go to http://download.com and search for Magix if you don't have Windows XP.

What do you mean on the XP bit? It runs just fine with XP.

Windows Movie Maker is only available on Windows XP.
So I was saying if you don't have Windows XP, download Magix.

Apparently I thought Magix was free. Haha, my mistake.

If by "Windows Movie Maker" you mean "Windows Movie Maker <b>2</b>", then yes.

I've been told Linux has some pretty nifty free video editors, and since Linux itself is free (or very cheap, at least), it could be a nice alternative if you don't have Windows XP.
