DVD Rippers for Windows

Post by Yukina_Raven » Tue Jul 06, 2004 10:16 am

Okay, so I'm back with a question that's probably been asked 2,000 times. But this is for a friend of mine who doesn't seem to want to join the fourms and ask herself. (Maybe she's afraid of all the "nice" people here... :P j/k)

Anyway, she needs a program that will rip footage from DVDs. She has Windows. A pretty general question, methinks. Any suggestions? Thanks! :)

ErMaC and AD's guide lists two of the best:

SmartRipper &
DVDDecrypter (I use this one).

You can find the links in EADFAG.

I suggest using Smart Ripper and/or DVD Decrypter. Both are mentioned in the Guides, and Doom9 has instructions on how to use them.

May I ask a question quickly as well? It has to do with the Smartripper and general DVD ripping as well. I downloaded a copy of Smartripper from Doom9's site, but because of the .rar I can't do anything with it! Do you know anything, like a kind of winzip, for .rar files? Or do you open them a different way?
