Help...Movie Maker 2 >.<

It keeps telling me that there is a problem with it and closes! every time I try to import a video file like episode 46 of naruto for instance It just shuts down...cna someone help me out? Also, Adobe Premiere 6.5 does the same thing, here is the error signature if it helps any "AppName: premiere.exe AppVer: 6.5.0.0 ModName: msvcrt.dll"

Divx files aren't good for editing with, and are the reason why it crashes.

ok does anyone know a codec that other then DivX that can be used?

Convert to Huffyuv. Follow the guides, and many questions will be answered.

No. Don't uninstall divx. Just dont edit files that are encoded in it, or similar codecs. You can convert to huffyuv like the previous poster mentioned, or get a better source, like DVD.

I still don't understand....I installed that Huffyuv but nothings changed.

You have to CONVERT your video files to it... not simply install the codec. You need to use virtualdub for this.
