Ok... I checked this out, and it does freeze and crash all players i tried it on at around : 00:23

So i went in avi tag editor and changed the fourCC code to DX50 (so it used Divx to decode instead of Xvid) and it plays through the entire file, however where it crashes in Xvid and a few places afterward, the file gets jambled up on a scene change, as if theres no keyframes, or keyframes are missing.

Theres something definately wrong with the encode... could be a setting you changed in Xvid or that your compressing it to small or something. Or perhaps your using an alpha or unstable version of Xvid?

are you using Koepi's latest version found here:?

http://www.roeder.goe.net/~koepi/xvid.shtml

if so did you install Xvid first, then all your other codecs?

I had problems with Xvid if i installed it after Divx. Otherwise I have no idea....

I'd like to be the first person to point out that though I would be interested at picking at this file, I am blocked by the lovely Rensselaer Polytech Institute 404 screen.
