former = Avid Xpress 3.5
latter = Final Cut Pro

FCP is Mac exclusive and if you read this post right he never said it wasn't.


Notice he said "The former", which would mean the first editor he mentioned, which was Avid Xpress, is as close as you can get to pro on a Windows machine. Then he said the latter(which was FCP) was for profressional use. :|
