Is there anyway to get it to allow me to use slower video files?

The best way to get Premiere to work better with slower video files (like DivX, MPEG, etc.) is not to edit with them. Sorry, but it's true. If you're talking about Huffy, that comes from file size, you'll need massive upgrades to get your computer up to speed for those.

An easy workaround, however, is to set your project to a more efficient codec setup (ie 320x240 MJPEG) and then set it back to full res at the end when you do your final render/export.

Hope this helps!

The problem is that the videos I want to use are not in the correct fps for adobe.

I want to set up adobe to allow me to use videos with a slower FPS

ah alrighty. :)

about the videos ur gonna use; are the frame rates the same for all of them? if not, u might have some problems..

to configure premier 6.0 for the frame rate ur gonna use, first u obviously have to figure out the frame rate of ur videos. if u dunno how to, import ur vidz and click on them in the project bin. below the title of the vid are the specs, such as the resolution and such. the number u want is the one before the "fps" (frames per second).

now that u have ur frame rate, go to "Project" / "Project Settings" - "General". next to the Editing Mode column, there should be a drop-down menu which has: DV Playback, Video for Windows, and QuickTime. Click on Video for Windows and proceed to the "Video" which u can select from the top menu.

"Frame rate" should be in the left-middle part of the window, as a drop-down menu. it may have 29.97, 25, or whatever as ur default frame rate. just click on it and select the frame rate u got from checking ur vids.

this should solve ur problem. if u got different frame rates for the vids ur using, or if u got a weird frame rate which isn't listed in premier's project settings, you'll have to run ur vids thru a video editing program called VirtualDub and change the frame rate accordingly. this will make ur vids slower or faster than before so it isn't very practical. just reply to this thread if u need help adjusting the frame rates to something useful.

Ok..Didnt work..here is the exact error I get..

Unable to open that file
File was recorded at a unsupported rate. The Supported Rates are 11khz, 22khz, 32khz, 44khz, and 48khz

Then it gives the file name..

I thought it was to do with the FPS but I guess not..
