well...you can't really improve your export time very easily.
if you have lots of effects, cutting some might improve your time a little (same with trimming vid length).
you could split your project up into smaller segments and then export each one (won't really save time, but each segment wouldn't take 2 hours)
you could go into task manager and upgrade the thread priority (for premiere's thread)...but that could crash your computer. (another option is to go into msconfig and turn off unnecsesary services and startup programs, but you also have to be careful when doing this)
the best way to lower your rendering time is to upgrade your computer.
more ram
better cpu
switching to sata drives (if you are using ata [ide interface]...but this isn't the most important upgrade)
better video card
and you shouldn't use premiere to compress your vid (and audio)
export as uncompressed and then compress your vid in virtualDub(/Mod)
(compress your audio...assuming you didn't edit with an mp3...with BeSweet or Lame [lame is found in the amvapp])
if you don't have ~6GB for a 4 minute vid, you can try to export using a lossless codec such as huffyuv or lagarith...but some frames are almost guaranteed to get screwed up

ugh what a pain in the ass.... thats one feature i will sorely miss from WMM the ability to tell it to export 20 megabye videos out of 4 minute amvs.... *sigh* and i thought adobe premiere was perfect until this moment (still beats the living hell out of WMM but I miss that function
)

2 hours isn't that bad of a wait. I spent nearly 100 times that long ripping and clipping for the vid i'm working on now.
Get a sence of perspective. And, as was said above, don't encode in Premiere it's always messy and comes out huge.
