I've just spent alot of time converting a dvd to an avi file using divx5.02 compression. In the clip preview window, the movie plays fine in premiere, but when I drag it down to the track view and try to play it, it won't play. Also one thing I have noticed is that the color of the clip in the trackview is like orange. I tried a different avi file and it was green and it actually played.
Can anyone help me. I'm thinking it may be the compressor I used on the video. This is to be my 2nd vid and I decided to use dvx to compress the file instead of xvid which I used last time.
I'm having a problem with Adobe Premiere. Video won't show..

^^^^No, I'm not him....but I did see that thread. I also checked out the video guide. I tried the avisynth method instead of first converting it to an avi file. That method too doesn't work. I can get the video to show in the preview window, I can even get it to play by going frame by frame, but when I try and click the play button, absolutely nothing happens. Then I tried making a preview of a little clip of the movie and then I would get no picture of the video at all.
