Newbie in need of help
I made AMVs before, but I am having problems putting the DVDs into my computer. I just bought the Detective Conan movies (all are in Japanese). The DvDs work on the DVD player but my computer does not recognize it. But I want to download the movies onto my computer. I never really did this before. (Most of the time my friends give me the footage or I was able to save the DVD on my computer, but I have never worked with a foreign video before. The DVDs are not avaible in the stores) Can anyone give me advice? Most of the time I would convert my movies to MP4 (with an IPod converter) and that would work fine, but not this time.

I can save you a little time:missind33 wrote:... but my computer does not recognize it. .
1) it is not a regional code error.
2) it is not a Copy-Write error.
.. it is in a format that your Computer will not accept.
( standards like UDF/ISO DVD's are understood by most computers )
.. what you need to find is a way to recognize that non-standard DVD Encode. To do that, you'll need a software update. Chances are that the Home Page from where they are selling that DVD might list which Encode they used; then just update your computer to that update.
