Source for news footage?

Post by y2kwizard » Wed Jan 01, 2003 1:26 pm

Hey, all. I've gotten an idea for a music video, but I have no clue where to find my source.

I'm trying to make a video using news footage from the past year, but I really have no clue where to get it. The first thing that pops into my mind would be simply to use a capture card or camera to get footage off MSNBC, CNBC, and all the other news shows. However, I really don't like all the extra text that they use, and they won't be showing news from, say, March of last year (2002).

So does anybody have a clue as to where I can find this? Is there perhaps a DVD somewhere containing news footage from 2002?

THanks a lot!

Yeah, I'm actually looking for the raw source...but I guess that's probably property of the news channel, anyway, and there's no WAY I can get any of that stuff.
