best blu-ray ripper?

Post by Dragonrider1227 » Fri Dec 16, 2022 6:53 pm

I've searched around this forum for answers and all I get is more confused. Just what is the best way to rip a blu-ray and convert it for editing in Sony Vegas Pro? I plan to enter contests with this video.

MakeMKV. The free license key is here.

If Vegas does not accept an MKV file, you can use AMVtool to recontainer it.

here's a guide.

No, just the latest one for your OS.
So AMVtool_1.1_macOS_Intel.dmg for mac or
AMVtool_1.1_WINx64.7z for windows

If you are looking for hardware, I was suggested by another editor to get this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BC ... UTF8&psc=1
(Archgon Premium Aluminum External USB 3.0 UHD 4K Blu-Ray Writer Super Drive for PC and Mac )
Its fairly quiet, feels well built and it has a Pioneer drive in it that is capable of firmware update to speed it up through the resources on the MakeMKV site if you dig into Libredrive for improving performance. Been solid for me so far and its ripped everything I have thrown at it.
I hope life is not a joke, if it is, I dont get it.

If you don't mine paying, I've had no complaints about Leawo Blu-ray ripper.
