Yeah it's not really video hardware, but it's still hardware. I think about buying this:

In the end I want this on my desktop, with my new full hd monitor, bluetooth mouse and keyboard. So actully it's a nice idea to flip my notebook and to use it as tower. It spares a lot of space on my desk. However I also have a Macbook and it has different dimension. It will probably not fit into this. Are there any similar stands were I can vary the size?
There is a solution by Twelve South for Macbooks, but it's too thin for my regular Win7 notebook and for god's sake it cost 50 bucks. What a shame...
