"I found a EXTERNAL USB CDRW/DVD drive, it's SONY CDRW-DVD232? Is this a good drive? Do you have any other reccomendations for a external drive since I do not know how to install a internal one?"

I'd really recommend the internal one since they are a lot cheaper... and there's really NOTHING to installing one... seriously its really easy.
For your question though, I don't know anything about that particular drive, but I'm using a Sony drive right now, and it took me forever to get it working. I was just about to send it back when it suddenly started working.

Based on your other post, something like this is the type of thing & price range you probably want to be looking in:
http://www.bestbuy.com/detail.asp?e=111 ... 1&scat=515
You DO have a free drive bay, right? Like a blank space below your CD drive that's available?
It should look sort of like this picture, but this pic has two drives already installed, you just need one free slot to put a drive into.

Just a thought, if it's not too late.
Maybe open the package & look over the instructions to see if there's anything you don't understand about what to do, before you start taking your computer apart, unless you have ready access to another one you can use to get online to ask questions from.
You might also want to atually print out the instructions from that link (klinky?) found for you on how to do it, same reason as above.
finally, if you hopelessly screw things up, or just don't want to hassle with doing it yourself, most of those stores like Best Buy, etc. will install a drive for about $30 or so.
