Well, my current computer (whom I last upgraded 10 months ago) has been getting old on my. Not the parts that I have upgraded but the ones I didn't. To make long story short, I've upgraded my old CPU to AMD64 3000+, new MoBo and a shiny chassis, while leaving the old Gforce Ti 4200 and 256x2 DDR RAM.
My problem is that I want to upgrade my graphics card, and add some RAM, enough to to run Oblivion (http://www.elderscrolls.com/games/oblivion_overview.htm). But then, the new technology arraived. PCI-express. If I were to buy a new GC, it will have to be an AGP one ond not PCIe. And more RAM will be DDR, and not DDR2. Thus making future upgrades even more expensive then the current one.
SO, I'll need advice on that one. I don't have the money to get EVERYTHING, bearly enough for the GC and some RAM.
What I'm asking is an advice... any advice..... or donation

Why would the advent of PCI-E make AGP cards more expensive? I'd think, if anything, that the manufacturers would be cutting their prices to clear out all their AGP cards as soon as possible.
And don't most new video cards come in both AGP and PCI-E flavors?
And I know it's still easy to find DDR RAM; I just bought some a few months ago, and AMD systems won't support/require DDR2 until Socket M2 comes out in 2006.
