Parental Lock Levels on Playstation 2
Does anyone have any idea what determines the parental lock levels on a PS2? All the anime DVDs I put in all seem to be level 8. Rated R movies only lock 6 or 7. Actually some of them don't even trigger a parental lock. What really gets me is this: actual live action pornography DVDs are also level 8. So is Samurai Champloo, which is being broadcast on Adult Swim, as bad as a XXX rated adult film? Has anyone put anything in that only triggered the lower level locks? Is there anything that gets level 9 or higher?

You set the code the first time you start up a PS2 without a disc in it. Mine is....0-0-0-0

When the PS2 askes for your passcode hit the select button and it should change to 'delete passcode'. Enter in 7444 and it'll remove the passcode. IIRC this is actually mentioned in the PS2 manual so hopefully me telling you isn't a DMCA violation for circumventing a protection scheme or corrupting a minor or something like that.
