Can someone do me a TREMENDOUS favor?

I have a number of files that I plan to make an AMV out of, however, all of these files are .wmv, and Final Cut Express cannot read them. I got a file converter for it, but it cannot read .wmv to convert them! Quite bothersome indeed!
Is there anyone who has enough time can please help me out and can convert the files to .mpeg? I know this is a lot to ask, but I don't know what else to do!
If anyone can please help me wiith this, I'll PM you the URLs to the files I need changed.

If you can, find a machine running windows and use that to convert the files. Nothing other than a windows machine will read wmv files.
