Post by James Sharp » Mon Feb 21, 2005 5:37 pm

I Have an Emachines PC it has an amd athlon xp 1600 processor and 512 mb of 2100 ddr ram. I also have a geforce fx 5600 and a 40 gigabyte harddrive at 7200 rpm..im running adobe premire pro. the problem is that when i have about 30 seconds of audio and video in the timeline and i try to watch it. it chokes up big time. so do i need a pc. or is it about time to reboot my pc because i have about a ton of codecs and junk in it.

Premier allways gets lagy on its ass when you preview clips in the timeline. Its beter to render a clip and preview that instead.

Oh dear. Don't try to watch that much video on the timeline. It won't work.

You're better off rendering previews of short little bits (if you CAN... (= if the bar above it is red)) and/or exporting longer sections to .AVI.
