What Video card should i use w/ SY-P4I865 Plus Dragon 2 V1.0
I recently bought a new Soyo P4I865 Plus Dragon 2 V1.0 Motherboard and I hook everything up that I got for it and it starts up without any beeps and I hear it start everyhting but it doesn't show anything on my screen, my video cards are old I think that may be the problem, they work in my Socket 423 motherboard but not this 478 so if any of you have this motherboard please tell me what you use or if anyone knows please suggest what video card i should use, take in mind that I am on a low budget I already spent a lot on computer parts recently so as cheap as possible would be nice.

. hmmm . try this:
Remove everything that uses cables; Hard-drive, DVD, CD-R, Floppy - and
see if it will work with only the Memory, Keyboard, Mouse and Video Card.
you may have one of the cables up-side-down ( it happens )
. If you get no responce from that, try an old PCI Video Card!
-- sounds like someone turned-off the APG connection in the Bios!
see if it will work with only the Memory, Keyboard, Mouse and Video Card.

The problem isn't your video card.
During a computer's Power-On Self-Test (or POST for short), the computer ALWAYS beeps at least once. If there is no beep whatsoever, then the computer isn't POSTing at all, meaning it's not even able to start the most rudimentary of functions.
Were the problem your video card, you'd hear one long beep followed by three short beeps. (That's the standard beep error code for a faulty/missing video card.)
Your CPU may not be fully in place, your RAM may be faulty or loose, some cable or other may be shorting out something else...
Right now, you have no evidence that your video card is faulty/incompatible. Don't waste money on a new video card until the system actually returns an error code indcative of a faulty video card.

my video cards work i just think i need a newer one for my new motherboard. I hear everything else start up like it would i just don't see anything. My manual reads like this for my problem:
[Start]
The system powers up, no video, no beeping sound heard, but the CPU fan is turning.
1. Clear the CMOS ram. (JP5 connector...)
2. Check all the jumper settings on the M/B
3. Check if the CPU is ok by using another CPU (check the Quick start guide for CPU supported on this M/B).
4. Check if the power supply is ok. The minimum should be 350 watt.s
5. Make sure the CPU fan is connected to CPUFAN1 connector
6. Remove the M/B fromt he case and test the system. The M/B might be shorted to the case.
7. Change the VGA card. If you have a 3.3V AGP card, the M/B might be damaged
[End]
Clearned CMOS, no jumpers to set, says on site my CPU would work and it sounds like my normal computer when it starts up (start up sound, start cpu fans/power to keyboard, hard drive/cd-rom drives operate). Ram supposed to work, woudln't it show things on the screen anyway if it doesn't...don't know about short to the case...tryed 2 differen't video cards that are both working and they are 1.5V not 3.3V.
I want to get a new video card anyway these 2 are 16MB and i'm gonna get a 32MB ddr one (i don't game on my computer)
