Oh the pain, the pain! How could you even think of buying a pc-chips?i got one of there boards for my new comp im building it seemd to have nice featers and was pretty cheap. then when i got it it didnt work so i though i had a defective one so i sent it back to newegg and got a new one and this one also dosent work it frezes when it loads windows. i dont know if its the board itself or the sis chipset but it really sucked. i would not recomend a pc chips to anyone. well anyway iv dicided to go with the nvidia nforce 2 iv heard its better but befor i oreder it id like to hear what u guys think of that board.
Anyway go with the nforce 2 for sure, they are great boards. I would look on newegg for a nforce 2 Asus board, my favorite brand. Just read the user reviews and find a board that suits your needs. Just stay away from pc-chips and ECS, they are so totally evil that they would take over the world, if they could keep from burning up first.

Are you sure everythin is configed correctly in the BIOS? Your Front Side Bus could be set wrong.madmag9999 wrote:i got one of there boards for my new comp im building it seemd to have nice featers and was pretty cheap. then when i got it it didnt work so i though i had a defective one so i sent it back to newegg and got a new one and this one also dosent work it frezes when it loads windows. i dont know if its the board itself or the sis chipset but it really sucked. i would not recomend a pc chips to anyone. well anyway iv dicided to go with the nvidia nforce 2 iv heard its better but befor i oreder it id like to hear what u guys think of that board.

OMGWTFbum wrote:well, unless your gona be using things like raid and more than 3 pic slots, your beter off going with some micro-axt board. i have one from gigabyte. its wierd because it has agp8x and it still has obboard video.
Companies put AGP on the board even when theres onboard video, because some people, IE GAMERS don't like the crappy onboard video, an example of onboard video is a Geforce 2 MX chip onboard, and games such as Half-Life 2 and Doom 3 will run at 1fps with that card

Re: pc chips
yea im sure its all set right. the board had a problem with the hard drive right when i put it in so then i set it up in the bios and it still didnt like it so i formated the hard drive in my hp(curent comp) and then saw if the hp would recognize it and it did so the hard drive is fine so im asuming the board is bad. anyway i talked to newegg and im getting a refund and im gone prolly order the Asus A7N8X coz i hear its a good boardCorran Productions wrote: Are you sure everythin is configed correctly in the BIOS?
