Tablet suggestions

Post by Flint the Dwarf » Wed May 02, 2012 1:13 pm

I'm in the market for a tablet and am looking for suggestions from anyone who's used them before.

We (my brother and I) are looking to use a tablet to create something similar to motion comics with music that we write. I've never used a tablet before, so I'm kinda new to all of this. This isn't going to be a professional endeavor, per se, but we would like similar capabilities for a moderate price (no more than $300). The flipside is that we want it to be useable for my 5-year-old niece, so durability is another consideration.

I'd appreciate any input from people who've used tablets before.

Only advice I can offer there from my tablet experience is your budget is going to massively limit you.

Seriously, she's FIVE and you wanna get her a tablet? How many expensive handheld electronic things would you have broken when you were five? It's not like the things are built like GameBoys and can survive a trip down a flight of stairs or something.

Think of something else to get her. Seriously.

Graphics tablet.

We want to make something like AMVs but with our own art and music.

Look into the Wacom Intuos line then. They have some <$300 models that should work just fine.
